Community Garden & Beekeeping Program at Marge Goodfellow Park – New Freedom, PA

Get your hands in the soil and help pollinate the Borough! The Marge Goodfellow Park Community Garden & Beekeeping Program offers seasonal opportunities for local residents to grow their own produce and care for bees right in the heart of New Freedom.
  • Community Garden: Participants can rent a 6'x6' tilled garden plot for the growing season, which runs from May 1st through October 1st. Perfect for growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers, each plot provides a chance to connect with nature and fellow gardeners in the community.
  • Community Beekeeping: Bring your own hive and bee colony to our shared apiary space. Participants rent a designated spot to maintain their hives and enjoy the rewards of backyard beekeeping, including honey, pollination, and supporting local biodiversity. May 1st through October 1st.
Whether you're a green thumb, a beekeeper, or just bee-curious, this program is a great way to get involved, learn something new, and help the environment.
